This weeks blog will be all about the Naked Eyeshadow Palettes which I have from Urban Decay. First, I wanted to tell you about how I got into loving these beautiful eyeshadows. Well, it all started when I started watching beauty vloggers on YouTube. You know the ones I mean, Zoella, Tanya Burr, Fleur de Force etc… Well, they would show us, subscribers, make-up techniques and tell us their reviews about using the affordable ‘high-street’ brands as well as mixing in the ‘high-end’ products as well.
Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette (My First)
Well after watching numerous videos over the years, I decided it was time to splash the cash and indulge in the high-end market. So last year I made an order of high-end products and it was to Urban Decay. This wasn’t an easy decision and took me a few weeks to decide on what I wanted to be my first purchase. I opted for the Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette. The eyeshadows are all very neutral, included some matte and also shimmer shadows from very light beige to black. The colours are subtly visible and highly pigmented in my onion and do last me the day. I even went as far as creating a neutral smoky eye with this palette and loved it from day one.
Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette
The next eyeshadow palette I decided to invest in was the Naked 3. These colours are more of a Rose-Gold influence, and as you can tell by my blog colour, I am somewhat obsessed with Rose-Gold at the moment. I am not ashamed to say that I even have the Rose-Gold iPhone. So I knew I needed this palette. I do love the colours in this set, but unfortunately for my skin-tone, they seem to pale and I do have to layer them up a bit as I have already had quite pink eyelids. I wouldn’t say I was unimpressed by this palette though, it does have a great mix of matte and shimmer eyeshadows similarly to the Naked 2.
My go-to Naked Palette
Lastly, the final Naked Palette I have is the Naked Basics 2. It is half the size of the other standard sized palettes, but it is not half the quality. This is my Number 1 go to palette of all time. I got this palette as a present at the beginning of January this year and I have not stopped using it yet. As an everyday work eyeshadow, this is great. It holds all the matte eyeshadows I would ever need and allows me to use it to dress down (one block colour – usually ‘Cover’) or allows me to do a smoky brown eye which is gorgeous where I use every colour. This palette is all you would ever need and is perfect for those on the move as it is extremely light and actually really affordable.
What’s your favourite Naked Eyeshadow Palette? I’d love to try another, so your advice would be great, thanks.
