Hi Everyone, and welcome to my Monthly Favourites for October. Who would guess that we are already less than 2 months away from Christmas? October has surprisingly been a busy month. Here are just a few things which has been happening:
- I reached my goal of 650 followers on Instagram. Thank you to everyone who has followed me. If you follow me, I will follow back.
- Got thinking about Christmas presents.
- Saw The Lion King in London’s West End and it was amazing! The full review is on my blog.
- I have fallen in love with all the Autumn colours with the leaves on the floor. Autumn has inspired my Autumn Ready Lips.
- I visited London for a London Theatre weekend.
- Had a day trip to Liverpool again for the second time this year. I did a blogpost all about Liverpool from when I visited in back April.
- Had a nice day out at the RAF Cosford Museum.
October Monthly Favourites
Film – The Lion King
Before I went to see the Theatre show of The Lion King, I had never seen the film version. After watching the Theatre show, I wanted to see the film so I could compare the two. The film is so heartwarming and beautiful and the songs are just amazing. I loved it as much as the Theatre show. I’d go as far as to say the theatre show was a bit better though. I am looking forward to the Live Action version which they are currently working on.
TV Show – The Apprentice & Gilmore Girls
The Apprentice I love The Apprentice and this year is no different. I love to see the journey in which they are all on and see how they develop into being Lord Sugar’s business partner. This year though, I do think they are exceptionally feisty as they seem to be fighting with each other quite a bit. I do enjoy the show though, and it is a good substitute for GBBO.
Gilmore Girls I was convinced to watch The Gilmore Girls over and over again, so one night while flicking through Netflix, I decided it was time to tackle the 7 Seasons head on ready for the Year in the Life special which is coming in November 2016. I fell in love with Lorelei, Rory and everyone in the show instantly and I am now on Season 3. It has around 20+ episodes per season and they do last about 40 minutes each, but I am completely addicted to this show and cramming in shows or even 5/10 minutes of a show where I can.
Music – Shout Out To My Ex – Little Mix
Who doesn’t love a little Little Mix? I just find there songs so catchy and up lifting.
Musical Soundtrack – The Lion King
This is no shock really, is it? I loved The Lion King and the music soundtrack is amazing!
Beauty – Clinique: High Impact Mascara
I have loved this mascara for months and months now, but this month I really relied on it. I love the way my lashes feel afterwards, and I am now due for a re-purchase as it is running out after using it for 5 months.
Shopping – Boots
On the run up to Christmas now, Boots have all there 3-for-2 range out and I am loving having a browse around to get some good Christmas inspiration.
Place To Be – Liverpool & London
Liverpool 6 months ago, my mum and I headed to Liverpool for a bit of sightseeing and shopping. We decided to go back to Liverpool for a day trip out as we loved the City so much and wanted to have a relaxing girly day. London If you’ve read my blog before, you will know that London is my favourite place in the world. I love the buzz of London and also love the theatre, so a weekend in London is perfect for me. I have done 2 blogposts already about free and cheap things to do in London and also unique places for food and drink in London.
Clothing – Barbour Boots
As we are now firmly into Autumn, my last year boots purchase are heavily getting their usage once again. Barbour is an expensive brand, but I believe their boots are worth it. They are leather and very sturdy, water resistant and comfy. The exact boots that I have can be found on the Barbour website.
