In terms of blogging, I have been a little quiet this month. I have missed a few uploads and I have just felt disconnected. Hopefully, November can set me straight again though and I will be starting to set up for the launch of the Christmas Blogger Q&A on 1st December and I am already super excited! I hope you are too 🙂
What has happened this month:
- I went pumpkin picking for the first time and also carved a pumpkin for the first time 🙂
- I did my first (little) photo shoot for my Autumnal Lookbook.
- I got addicted to Pumpkin Spice Latte – oops.
- I went to see Hairspray at The Birmingham Hippodrome.
- I went to see The Addams Family UK Theatre Tour.
- I got myself a jazzy camera for all my blogging needs 🙂
- I went to the Birmingham Beer Festival – I don’t drink but it was still good and I had a lovely stone baked pizza.
Monthly Favourites // October 2017
TV Show – Too hard to pick…
Who else has thought that October has been an amazing month for TV shows? I haven’t had time to watch a film because TV has smashed it. Well, I did watch Bladerunner 2, and that isn’t a favourite of mine this month. Here are some of the shows I have been loving:
The Good Place
The season 2 of The Good Place has been so funny, I am really loving the show and it really is super easy to watch and get addicted to.
Star Trek: Discovery
This feels more like lots of mini films. The visual effects are amazing in the show and the storyline is actually quite easy to follow, even if you aren’t a Star Trek fan.
Stranger Things 2
Who doesn’t watch Stranger Things? (Actually, still quite a few people – nevermind).
I do love this show though and it is super addictive! Season 1 was great, once I actually sat down to watch it – by being forced to – but Season 2 has had me hooked. My Boyfriend and I have been watching it together, so I can’t wait to binge out on it this weekend.
Riverdale season 2 has started off a little rocky for me. While it still has a good storyline, I just think I prefer season 1. That being said though, I do still look forward to the new episodes every week.
Since a couple of years ago when I discovered The Apprentice, I have been addicted to it! I love watching this ‘sort of’ reality TV and it just makes me laugh. I think Lord Sugar has some great one-liners. This years contestants really are a little – well, silly – this year, but it still great to watch.
Goodbye Bake Off for another year! I wanted to hate it when it moved to Channel 4 – as I am sure a lot of you also wanted to – but I actually found it a guilty pleasure of mine. Shame on me! I still miss you, Mary Berry!
Spotify – Comedy CD’s
Throughout October I haven’t been listening to too much music on Spotify like usual, I actually discovered that there are stand-up comedy CD’s on there which I have been listening to on the bus. I found it therapeutic to have someone talking to me on the bus.
Some on there are Jimmy Carr, Rhod Gilbert, Michael McIntyre and Noel Fielding.
Theatre Show – The Addams Family & Hairspray
This month I was lucky enough to see 2 amazing theatre shows – The Addams Family and Hairspray.
I haven’t done a review of either show as I have had a break in October, but if you would like me to; let me know 🙂
I loved both of the shows. The Addams Family was so funny, dark and just an amazing musical! The actors had so much energy and you could tell they loved the show. Hairspray was equally as amazing. This is the second time I have seen the show and still would love it see it over and over again. It is upbeat, has a strong message and makes you feel like you are in the 60s.
Soundtrack – Hairspray
Well, this isn’t a shock, is it? I went to see Hairspray this month, so obviously I am obsessed with the soundtrack. I just wish that The Addams Family will release a soundtrack as well as that would be perfect!
Blogging/Camera – Olympus om-d e-m10 mark III
I treated myself to a new camera for blogging this month. After months and months of research, I finally fell in love with this gorgeous camera from Olympus. If you would like a review on it, please let me know 🙂
Food & Drink – Pumpkin Spice Latte
Typical Blogger over here!
Before this year I had never tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte, but this Autumn I think I have had one at least 3 times a week. It is gorgeous! I am not a coffee drinker, but it doesn’t taste like coffee – in a strange way. It is sweet and smooth and just so easy to drink. I do have it decaf though, as I would be bouncing off the ceiling.
Place To Be – Walking in the Woods
I love Autumnal walks in the woods. There is nothing better in my opinion. I even did an Autumnal Lookbook walk in a local woods which was great fun.
