Christmas Blogger Q&A Series - Iga BerryHello, I am wanderlust-obsessed girl with a soft spot for stylish fashion and interior designs, fragrances, and self-development. I want to inspire with simple, creative ways that make life easier. I am also a happy bride to be getting married in 2017, so if you are planning a wedding you will find quite a few articles that might interest you.

Question 1 – What is your favourite Christmas memory?

It is not a secret that I adore my Grandfather. Therefore my favourite Christmas memory is connected with him. Every Christmas Eve before gifts would magically appeared under the tree he would prepare for me my favourite hot chocolate and take me to another room to look for the North Star. It gave my family time to take out all of the gifts from their ‘secret’ places. I knew for quite a few years that Santa Claus has little helpers but I loved the tradition of looking for the North Star too much to break it to my grandpa that I know it. Plus hot chocolate is just too tasty to resist.

Question 2 – Are there any traditions you have around Christmas time?

I think that most people declutter their wardrobes for Spring. However, I like to start celebrating Christmas and New Year clutter free. Therefore, before I start decorating the home I take a week to slowly tidy up and let go of things that are no longer needed. Long, dark winter nights are perfect for that. I love starting New Year knowing that in three months time I will not have to do a huge clear out because it’s already done.

Question 3 – What is on your Christmas wish list this year?

I do not have a set list. However, from the top of my head I can mention a few gifts that would always be a good idea: plane ticket (anywhere), perfume (from Avon to Chanel so I am very budget friendly), tickets to see a play or musical (Broadway “Cats’ are on my bucket list), and language or art classes. I would also like to learn how to sew, so a sewing machine would be an incredible gift!

Question 4 – Do you like to wear Christmas jumpers, if you do; what is your favourite Christmas jumper?

I am currently wearing one! My family does not have a tradition of wearing Christmas jumpers during Christmas dinner. For my family it is more of a ‘dress to impress’ event. If we have not had a chance to wear a ball gown during the year but really wanted to, this would be the night to wear it. Eccentric? Maybe but you know what I am talking about when you love your prom dress so much you just cannot wear it only once.

Question 5 – Do you like to give presents or receive presents?

One of my most favourite moments during Christmas is when someone opens a gift from me and gasps in disbelief that I remembered what they mentioned months ago. This ‘gasp moment’ is worth more than any words.

Question 6 – Do you like the Christmas goodies such as Mince Pies, Christmas Pudding or the limited edition drinks?

I am a mulled wine fan to the point that sometimes I make it during the summer. I also can not say no to red velvet swirl brownies and fried carp. Carp is a Christmas must for me.

Question 7 – What is your favourite part of Christmas dinner?

Lights are dimmed, tree lights are making the baubles sparkly and everyone sits on the carpet near the Christmas tree. That is the time when we play games, chat, and generally have a very tranquil rest and enjoy the relaxing evening. Of course food is close by just in case we were not stuffed enough after dinner.

Question 8 – What is your favourite Christmas Song?

The answer could only be: All I want for Christmas! – Mariah Carey

Fun Fact about me? The only English song I know all the lyrics from the beginning to the end is Last Christmas by Wham! All of my class had to sing it for an extra grade during our English Class.

Question 9 – Are you taking part in Blogmas or Vlogmas this year?

I would love to but my MSc is really demanding so unfortunately Blogmas will not happen this year for me. Time is flying by and my coursework deadline is soon after New Year.

Question 10 – Do you have anything exciting coming up on your blog next year?

I have a few surprises including competitions and giveaways. I cannot wait to share more details but for now I have to keep it a secret.

Thank You
