Welcome to day 6 of the Christmas Blogger Q&A. Today’s Christmas Q&A is with Lisa from Pass the Prosecco Please.
Pass the Prosecco Please
Hi! My name is Lisa and my blog is called Pass the Prosecco Please; a mix of parenting, lifestyle, food and everything in between. I write with an honest yet humorous twist!
Question 1 – What’s your Christmas tradition?
I have so many – I’m nuts about Christmas! I guess my main one is Christmas Eve – I spend the day baking and cooking and cleaning the house in preparation for the big day. About 7pm once my son is in bed I pour myself a drink and enjoy Christmas Eve TV, usually The Snowman.
Question 2 – What is your favourite Christmas indulgence?
Tricky one – I love a bottle of cream liquor but also Christmas dinner with all the trimmings – it takes so long to prepare and cook but it’s a must.
Question 3 – What is the best gift you have ever received?
Christmas 2013 I thought my partner(as he was then) had been really rubbish and hadn’t bought me anything. And then he got down on one knee!
Question 4 – Are you an early gift buyer or leave them to the last minute?
I’m right in the middle – usually I start mid November and like to be done a good couple of weeks before the big day.
Question 5 – Do you have a favourite shop to buy gifts?
I love buying different and thoughtful gifts – I use a lot of small businesses online such as on Facebook and Instagram and also eBay and Etsy, there are so many out there that create beautiful things.
Question 6 – Is there something which you always wanted for Christmas but never got?
Mr Frosty! I always wanted one but never got one.
Question 7 – What is the most thoughtful gift that you brought someone?
Tough question – I guess a couple of years ago my grandad died and my nan was so sad, they had been married for sixty years and I wanted to do something different so I booked us a coach trip to Windsor, she was over the moon.
Question 8 – If you could be in any Christmas movie, which one would you be in?
White Christmas, I’d love to play Betty(played by Rosemary Clooney), it’s my absolute favourite.
Question 9 – What is your earliest Christmas memory?
I can remember my dad waking me up and carrying me downstairs, we looked outside and he told me how the naughty reindeer had knocked the bucket of water over he had left out for them. Magical.
Question 10 – What makes Christmas special for you?
I’ve always been obsessed with Christmas and now I’m a mum it’s amazing to create the magic for my little man. He will be three for this Christmas and I love seeing his little face when we see Christmas lights, Father Christmas and his presents.
Is there anything you wish to promote on Pass the Prosecco Please?
Nothing really to promote – just proud that my blog will be a year old and is growing steadily 🙂
