Craft with Cartwright

Question 1 – What’s your Christmas tradition?
We celebrate Christmas on Christmas eve. Opening our presents one by one under the lights of the tree. It takes hours but it’s so lovely to see people appreciate what you’ve given them and to say thank you for what you have received. Christmas day is to relax and enjoy the presents and food.
Question 2 – What is your favourite Christmas indulgence?
Spending more time with my husband, who works long hours would be my favourite indulgence. My husband would say his was mince pies.

My parents bought me a Nikon DSLR last year. I must admit I was very pleased with that one!

I’m an early gift buyer. The teacher in me takes over, with lists, plans and rotas. So everything is in place by the first week of December.
Question 5 – Do you have a favourite shop to buy gifts?
A good department store is always a winner. I like trying to get most things under one roof. I am going to try and buy more handcrafted stuff this year though.

A Cadbury’s money box, vending machine. With the little bars of Chocolate! I always wanted one of those.
Question 7 – What is the most thoughtful gift that you brought someone?
A gluten free hamper, when I first diagnosed coeliac. I could of cried, when I saw Twix’s in there.
Question 8 – If you could be in any Christmas movie, which one would you be in?
The snowman, so I wouldn’t have to hear my voice. Not keen on it.
Question 9 – What is your earliest Christmas memory?
Seeing Father Christmas opening my door when I was two. I still maintain to this day, I saw him!
Question 10 – What makes Christmas special for you?
Christmas really is about family for me. Spending nearly every minute of the period with one group or another of our extended family, really makes it fun for the kids.

I’m continuing to run my creative corner interview series on Wednesday’s in 2018. So if anyone has a arts or crafts business and they would like to take part. Let me know.
