Welcome to day 2 of the Christmas Blogger Q&A. Today’s Christmas Q&A is with Emmie from Carpe Diem Emmie.

I’m Emmie and write Carpe Diem Emmie, a UK Culture and Lifestyle blog that covers anything from theatre reviews to chatting about the things I enjoyed on a monthly basis.
Question 1 – What’s your Christmas tradition?
I usually spend Christmas at my parents, tucking into our christmas feast by 1pm then relaxing for the afternoon with drinks, games and some Christmas TV in the background. This will be the first year that me and Jordan spend Christmas morning at our house, I can’t wait and we’ve had lots of fun planned!
Question 2 – What is your favourite Christmas indulgence?
GIVE ME MULLED WINE AND TURKEY SANDWICHES! Literally the best combination going 😀
Question 3 – What is the best gift you have ever received?
Errr good question. In recent years I’ve had ‘adult’ things like money for a holiday or a tumble dryer aha!
Question 4 – Are you an early gift buyer or leave them to the last minute?
I’m early! I’ve already brought quite a few, I’ve just got a handful. I don’t buy a lot of gifts because I tend to organise going out for meals and drinks with friends, it’s far more productive and fun to hang out.
Question 5 – Do you have a favourite shop to buy gifts?
Not really, I love looking through TK Maxx though as there’s some great stuff in there. I do 70% of mine online so not to risk buying something I don’t need.
Question 6 – Is there something which you always wanted for Christmas but never got?
I was gutted the year I didn’t get the Furby bag I asked for, I loved the Furby I got for my birthday earlier that year so the bag was a finishing touch.
Question 7 – What is the most thoughtful gift that you brought someone?
I think all of the gifts I buy are thoughtful one way or another, a lot of thought goes into buying them. I want the person receiving them to think that I really know them, there’s nothing like worrying that they won’t like it or get use out of something.
Question 8 – If you could be in any Christmas movie, which one would you be in?
I’d be in Home Alone, just because all of the traps look like good fun to set!
Question 9 – What is your earliest Christmas memory?
I remember being extremely excited one Christmas when I was younger and being sick on myself and probably a couple of presents. I also remember the Christmas I got a bike, it was so exciting and I couldn’t wait to get dressed to take it for a spin.
Question 10 – What makes Christmas special for you?
Spending time with friends and family, life can be pretty hectic for the other 11 months of the year but December is a time when I limit the amount of work I do so I can enjoy having fun.
What is something you have been proud of in terms of blogging this year?
I think 2017 has been the best year for my blog, I’ve worked with incredible brands and definitely stepped out of my comfort zone on regular occasions. I hope to make 2018 as good as 2017 was for my blog.
