I recently made this family fruit cake for a birthday and remembered how much I loved this recipe. It is so easy to make, but I have to say it is not the healthiest cake. It is delicious though and perfect for the cooler Autumnal weather.
We are already onto Week 4 of The Great British Bake Off, and I for one am addicted! I cannot wait for Wednesday to come around so I can have my weekly fix of Mary, Paul, Mel, Sue and the bakers. I really hope that I’m not the only one who is addicted to The Great British Bakeoff.
I saw in the supermarket that they do Self Raising (Gluten Free) Flour, so picked myself up some and set about finding out how to use it in my baking. I found out online that Gluten Free Flour is used in the same way as normal Flour, and after using this recipe to bake some Chocolate Chip Cookies, I can say they taste the same or even better than using ordinary Flour.
The other weekend I decided to make some Gluten Free Chocolate Cupcakes. I tried to make a gluten free cake once before (around Christmastime) and it was a flop. Quite literally! While shopping in ASDA one day, I stumbled across a Gluten Free Chocolate Cake mix which you just add butter, eggs and water too. I decided to buy one and try out a mix rather than an going into it blind like last time. My Boyfriends Sister has Celiac Disease which means she has an intolerance to anything including Gluten and for the family BBQ; I wanted to make […]
I got my inspiration for this recipe from Reeces Peanut Butter Cups and wanted to recreate them. The recipe below made about 6 Peanut Butter Cups, but be warned; they were thick of chocolate and very yummy! So here is my recipe for my take on Peanut Butter Cups, with a Golden Oreo centre!
Here is my own recipe for my delicious Lemon Curd Butter Icing. I came up with this recipe after having lots of lemon curd in the cupboard and not knowing what I do with it all. I made some Vanilla cupcakes using my Very Easy Vanilla Cupcake recipe and added this icing. They are the perfect combo in my eyes and are just amazing together! I love this recipe and it has been tried and tested for a few years now, with friends, family and work colleagues saying how much they love both the cupcakes and the Lemon Curd Butter Icing. It’s […]
These perfect vanilla cupcakes are super easy to make, no fuss and a brilliant base to add you own twist to and personalise them. I either enjoy using my own recipe ‘Lemon Curd Butter Icing’ to give it a hint of flavour and then I usually make them look like a butterfly or I use a simple butter icing. This weeks baking recipe is the easiest Vanilla Cupcake recipe I have found by the amazing Mary Berry, and I have used this recipe numerous times and all who have tried enjoyed them.
