This weekend I popped into Birmingham for yet another Original Patty Men burger and to visit a craft beer/pinball bar called Tilt. It then turned into a spontaneous shopping trip, which I am not complaining about as I managed to pick up some items I had on my wishlist.
The shops I visited were Lush, HMV, Harper & Lewis and Paperchase (in Selfridges). I will break the haul down and show you what I managed to pick up…
After seeing someone mention the Lush Handcream on Instagram I really wanted to try it. I don’t suffer from bad dry hands, but I do think I need to start using it more. That was the main purpose of popping into Lush. I just couldn’t stop there though, we’ve all been there; right?
Handy Gurugu // Hand Cream
The lady in Lush recommended me this hand cream as it is perfect to use through the day and even before bed. It smells quite fresh and soaks into the hands almost immediately. I can’t wait to see the results of this hand cream.
Price – £7.95
Lemony Flutter // Cuticle Butter
This really did draw me in as I suffer from dry/peeling skin around my nails as the weather in the UK at the moment is fluctuating between hot/cold/rain and heatwaves.
The smell of this cuticle butter is lemon which I love! It is very soft when you put it on, but a lot harder than hand cream in the pot. I can tell it is going to last a long time which is brilliant.
As I type this, I couldn’t resist putting some more on and my hands smell like I’ve been eating Lemon Drizzle Cake. Yummy!
Price – £6.95
Charity Pot // Hand Cream
After talking to the lady in Lush she was telling me about the Charity Pot and that all profits go to the different charities mentioned on the pots. I had to pick up this mini £1 handbag friendly pot and she even said I could fill it up with my Handy Gurugu when the pot is empty! Win!
Price – £1
Catastrophe Cosmetic // Face Mask
I have never used a Lush face mask before and after watching YouTube videos about skincare, I decided to give one a go. The lady recommended me the Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask as it is smooth and packed with Vitamin E to make my face brighter. She said it is soothing and relaxing, so I can’t wait to give it a go.
When I tried it out in the store, my hand was super soft and smelt amazing!
Price – £7.25
New // Shampoo Bar
I have spoken about this shampoo bar in my Empties post which you can check out if you want to know more about this shampoo bar. It’s been a favourite of mine for months now, and I think it always will be.
Price – £6.25
My Boyfriend and I love going into HMV and picking up new Blu-Rays to watch together. This week we decided to pick up Passengers as we have wanted to see it for a while now.
Within the first 5 minutes, I loved the film and it had me gripped until the end. It is a bit of a Romance/Space film and well worth a watch. I can’t wait to watch this film again soon.
Price – £17.99 (3D version)
Harper & Lewis
I had never visited Harper and Lewis before but was drawn in by their quirky style of clothing – which included dinosaur and pineapple print t-shirts.
I loved the look of one item in particular which was this amazing Blue Denim Dress. I have been looking for one of these for a while now, but the colour of this dress along with the shape drew me in instantly.
It was £36, but a dress which I can dress up or down and put numerous style of shirts underneath. I can’t wait for the sun to come out now.
Bow & Ribbon
I loved this style bow as I am making a gift hamper and I thought this would look super cute wrapped around it. If you would like to see the hamper that I am making, let me know if you would like to see a blog post about it (obviously it would go live after the person received the gift).
Price – £2.75
I love tissue paper for gift wrapping. I always like to keep a stock of it in my gift wrapping box, so I thought this would make a great addition.
Price – £3
I hope you enjoyed my Birmingham Haul. Have you tried any of the Lush products I mentioned and do you recommend any for me to try out next – apart from Bath Bombs as I don’t have a bath at my house haha.
