August Monthly Favourites

August Monthly Favourites and Overview

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my Monthly Favourites for August. We are finally here, and what a month it has been. This month the weather in the UK has been unpredictable, but I still made the most of it.

There has been so much going on in August. Here are just a few things:

August Monthly Favourites

Film – The Brothers Grimsby

Last month, I watched a total of zero films, but August was completely different. This month I saw 4 films by 14th August. My favourite has to be The Brothers grimsby though. I had to have a half-way break as my sides were in pain from laughing so much.

TV Show – Don’t Trust The B In Apartment 23

I remember watching Series of of Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 when I was in University, but then it seemed to vanish. I was so happy when I saw they had Seasons 1 & 2 on Netflix this month. So much that I got through the seasons within a week.

Music – Heathens – Twenty One Pilots

Another song from Twenty One Pilots this month. This one is a favourite due to the fact that I saw Suicide Squad and fell in love with the song.

Musical Soundtrack – Mamma Mia

After seeing Mamma Mia on my Birthday, I have been addicted to the movie soundtrack. My favourite songs have to be Honey Honey & Voulez-Vous.

Beauty – Benefit Dandelion & Clinique: Chubby Foundation Stick

Benefit Dandelion – Blusher

For months, I was on the look out for a new blusher. My all-time favourites for years were the Soap & Glory Blush Bricks as I mentioned in my Top 10 Soap & Glory Products post a while ago. In July, I picked up the Benefit Dandelion blusher on a whim. I am in love with this summer glow colour and beautiful packaging.

Clinique: Chubby in the Nude Foundation Stick

I wrote a whole blogpost about my pros and cons of the Chubby Foundation Stick and now the sun has come out, I can say that I am in love with it. The consistency is perfect for the hot summer and it does last all day on my skin which is great. I love the thinness of the consistency as it feels like my pores can breath. It’s perfect.

Shopping – Primark

For a holiday where you know that you will be layering up on the suncream, the last thing you want is to get your good clothes stained. In Primark I picked up some string tops perfect for the beach and a pair of shorts and a cheap pair of sunglasses for the sea and it all came to less than £15. I can then reuse it next year, so I think that’s brilliant.

Food & Drink – Mocktail Mojito

If you didn’t already know, I am a teetotal. When you go to the pub/club with friends and sit there drinking the regular coke or orange juice, you do feel a bit out of it. This month, my go-to drink has been a Mocktail Mojito. I love the freshness of the drink and my boyfriend assures be that it really does taste like a Mojito should taste. Yummy!

Place To Be – Spain & London

This month I have been lucky enough to have two holidays. I firstly visted Spain for a week and then shortly after went to London. London is my favourite place to visit for a short break in the UK as there is just so much to see and do, you are really spoilt for choice. I will do a whole post about London very soon.
