So as we are now officially in Autumn, I decided to write a post about 5 ways to feel more Autumnal. I love the changes of the seasons and I think in the UK, we are very lucky to get experience them all. I do think that Autumn is my favourite season as I love the colours and that cooler weather for an excuse to bring out my big jumpers.
Change up your wardrobe
At the beginning of every season, I like to pull out all of my firm favourite seasonal wear and also see what I haven’t got but would love to have for the season ahead. This year I wanted some tan ankle boots and also a mustard coloured Jumper. I got these great boots from Next for £65 and this oversized and super comfy and warm Mustard Jumper from New Look for £10.
I also love to get out my favourite scarf – My Hufflepuff Scarf from Harry Potter Studios.
Something which I love about this temperature shift is that I can drink hot drinks again! I love a Hot Ribena in the morning, it is super sweet and sets me up for the day. I am also quite partial to a Hot Chocolate and a lovely cup of tea before bed. Yummy!
Go for a walk in the woods
Something I love to do in Autumn is going for lovely Autumnal walks, especially in the countryside, forests or woods. I always love the outdoor photography in Autumn as the colours of the leaves and lighting always look so picturesque.
Get involved in an Instagram Photo Challenge
One thing I really love to get involved with is a seasonal photo challenge. This one once again comes from the lovely Gwennan from Twenty Something Meltdown, who has come up with the ultimate Autumnal photo challenge to encourage you to get out of the house (or sometimes stay in the house with a blanket, hot chocolate and Harry Potter marathon) and take those perfect Autumn shots.
If you would like to get involved, you can find out more over on Gwennan’s blog and use the hashtag #OurTwentySomethingAutumn to see the Autumn Vibes photo’s which people have taken so far.
Watch some good TV with a blanket!
I love watching TV in the Autumn. All the good shows reappear once the dark nights come back. A few of my favourites have to be Great British Bake Off and The Apprentice. Also, some new seasons of Stranger Things and Riverdale are starting soon in Autumn and I cannot wait!
Snuggling under my Blue Mermaid Tail Blanket which my friend got me for Christmas last year is perfect!
What do you love to do to make you feel more Autumnal? Let me know 🙂
